Who is eligible to take part in Get Tech Certified this Autumn?
All Civil Servants & Public sector employees (contractors are not eligible for this initiative).
I did not attend the live launch event on 1 October 2025 – can I still take part in Get Tech Certified?
Absolutely. The live launch event was simply an introduction to the event. You can participate at any point from 1 October 2025 until 31 December 2025.
Can I register for training opportunities using a personal email address?
No. To identify you as eligible to participate, you must use your work email address.
How much does it cost my Department?
In the vast majority of cases the learning and certification offers are completely free throughout the period of this promotion. However, some entry-level learning may not warrant a certification, but rather an accreditation or digital badge.
In a small number of cases, vendors may provide learning paths on their portals where the learning is free, but not in-scope for a free certification voucher. This will be made clear on their learning page.
How is the training delivered?
In the vast majority of cases the training will be self-paced virtual training via your chosen vendor’s learning portal – in a few cases, vendors might also host live in-person events.
Is the training only for technically skilled people?
No. This training is for everyone. The majority of learning will have beginner, intermediate, or advanced learning.
Can I take advantage of more than one training offer?
Yes. You can take advantage of as much training as you like. However, we will not distribute multiple free certification vouchers at once, as these cannot be repurposed, and any unused certification vouchers will be wasted. Once you have redeemed a voucher, you can apply for another.
Can I choose more than one vendor’s training offers?
Yes. We would encourage you to explore several vendor offers.
How long do the courses take to complete?
Each course is different depending on the subject and level of learning being undertaken.
Do I need to complete the learning in one sitting?
No. You can start the training and save your progress at any point.
