STAR(R) and CAR techniques

The STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) and CAR (Challenge, Action, Result) techniques are popular methods for structuring behaviour-based questions.

Here’s a brief overview of each:

ReflectIf applicable, share what you learned, what you might do differently next time.

The CAR technique

Similar to STAR(R), but focuses more on the challenge aspect.

ActionExplain the actions you took to address the challenge.
